The Grand Unveiling of The Residences at Solaz, A Luxury Collection, exclusively represented by Snell Real Estate
Almost 400 Los Cabos VIP’s attended the “Grand Unveiling” of the Residences at Solaz last night in the Beach Pavillion at the resort overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Snell Real Estate reported that with only 21 residences ever to be available, 6 were scooped up by eager buyers in the first 3 hours for total sales of over $15M. Not bad for an opening party bash.
Attendees were treated to French champagne and fois gras as well as shrimp and scallop hors d’ouevres. Six videos were used to unveil the spectacular resort in the middle of Cabo’s famed “corredor.” The VIP guests ooed and awed at fire dancers who entertained them while they sipped top shelf liquor served by 30 waiters buzzing among the elegant, chic crowd. Afterwards a spectacular fireworks display picked up the pace of the evening as a DJ rocked the house.
Buyers included a Mexican family that bought a penthouse for $3.5M and a first floor unit for $2.35M for their children to enjoy. Others were so awed by the 180 degree views and scooped up full floor units with 3000 air conditioned square feet and 2000 square feet of outdoor terrace space for $2.4M to $2.5M.
Snell reported the interest was “amazing.” Vanessa Fukunaga, President of Snell said: “We knew this was going to be a hot new offering, and the evening proved the point. The rarity of the number of units being offered didn’t hurt. Fortunately we have 15 left.”
The Residences at Solaz are part of the 131 room Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort complex that is being developed by Quinta del Golfo de Cortez Group, who are the owners of the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Hotel located just up the beach.
Last week the new resort got the fantastic news that it had been chosen by the Association of Tennis Professionals to hold its 2016-2020 World Tour Tournament at a new tennis center to be built on the north side of the highway, giving Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort, an international reputation in the tennis world and bringing to Cabo a world class tennis event.
“Solaz will be the center of the tennis world’s attention next August,” said David Michonski, EVP of Snell, “and that won’t hurt sales or interest.”
